FOOD INNOVATION INSTITUTE (F2i)
F2i supports companies in the food and drink sector through consultancy, research and innovation using its own specialist laboratory facilities.

ICASS
The Innovators Counselling and Advisory Service for Scotland (ICASS) provides free confidential advice and information to individuals and businesses who have ideas which they think are original and which have commercial potential. The service is funded by the Scottish Executive and operates throughout Scotland with a team of 8 Advisors.

In the first instance they can help to establish whether the idea is indeed original and, if so, how best to protect the intellectual property by, for example, copyright, design registration, patent or trade mark. Then they can help to find ways of developing and commercialising the idea by signposting to appropriate organisations and businesses.

It is a free advisory service but ICASS does not have funds to assist with costs associated with the development and evaluation of ideas for new products or services, such as patents or prototypes.

INNOVATION RELAY CENTRE (IRC)
IRC Scotland is your local link into a Network of almost 250 technology support organisations spread throughout 32 European countries. The IRC Network helps local companies source the best available technologies to suit their needs from the best available suppliers. The Network also provides a channel through which local businesses can take their own technologies and know-how to new markets anywhere in Europe.
